DX Wave Reaches the Medical Weight Loss Industry! “Dio Clinic” Introduces AI-Powered “Bodygram” for Before-and-After Treatment Measurements – Visualize Progress with 3D Avatars, Not Just Numbers
Bodygram Inc. (Headquarters: Delaware, USA; CEO: Rei Aiba) is pleased to announce that the AI body measurement technology “Bodygram” has been implemented at Dio Clinic Ginza, operated by the ShoKeiKai General Incorporated Association (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shunsuke Hatashita), starting in late April 2022. This marks the first case of this type of technology—where body size can be measured via an app—being introduced into the medical weight loss industry.
With this implementation, the previously manual process of measuring body parts before and after treatment using a tape measure is now digitized. Not only does this reduce the workload of on-site staff, but thanks to Bodygram’s 3D avatar tracking function, patients can visually confirm the difference in their body shape before and after treatment.

- Enables operations at a lower price point compared to traditional AI body measurement and 3D body scanning technologies
- No need for large scanning equipment—just a smartphone or tablet, making initial setup virtually cost-free
DX Arrives in the Medical Weight Loss Industry! “Bodygram” Chosen for Its Easy Setup and Advanced Functionality
Dio Clinic specializes in medical dieting using next-generation weight loss technologies. They offer intensive 3-to-6-month medical weight loss programs by combining various medical slimming approaches to help customers achieve their ideal body.
Recognizing that visualizing changes before and after such programs is a critical part of the customer journey, Dio Clinic Ginza has adopted the innovative AI technology “Bodygram.” The system allows for instant body measurements with a single digital terminal at the clinic.
After customers enter basic information (height, weight, gender, and age), staff simply take two photos—front and side. Then, Bodygram estimates 24 body measurements (e.g., waist, upper arms) and visualizes the results through a 3D avatar, making it easy for customers to intuitively compare physical changes.
Note: Personal data is strictly managed in accordance with Bodygram’s Privacy Policy.

What the Introduction of Bodygram Means for Operations
This implementation not only streamlines the previously manual measurement process but also eliminates the need for data entry, since all measurement data is digitally managed. Operational efficiency is expected to improve significantly.
In the first year, Dio Clinic estimates that more than 500 customers will use the technology. Based on the results and feedback from the Ginza clinic, they plan to roll out the system to all Dio Clinic branches in the future.
